New provider for Shared Care services
IDEA Services is pleased to announce that CCS Disability Action will now manage Shared Care services so people have the opportunity for continued support.
IDEA announced in March it was seeking to move out of a number of services where others were better placed to provide them.
“We were always hopeful that another provider could be found and it’s good that CCS Disability Action will pick up Shared Care from July the 10th,” says IDEA Services Chief Operating Officer Janine Stewart.
“CCS Disability Action has long experience working with families and children, so we are pleased this new arrangement fits alongside its existing work.”
“More than 30 families currently make use of Shared Care and we are glad they have an option for uninterrupted, quality services into the future,” says Janine.
We understand CCS Disability Action plans to speak with contract caregivers so existing relationships between families and caregivers can continue.
The news follows the announcements that NZCare Disability will provide home support throughout the country, and that Spectrum Care will manage two respite bases in the Wellington region.
IDEA Services is also continuing to work with individual families involved in Foster Care and we are pleased to be making good progress with other providers.
We are working closely with the Ministry of Health as it considers the next steps for Contract Board.
