As we head into a nationwide lockdown beginning today at 11:59pm I want to let you know that a huge amount of work has been completed to ensure that we continue delivering our residential and housing services during the period the country is on Level 4 COVID-19 Alert.

Our residential services (IDEA Services) and our housing services (Accessible Properties) have been confirmed as being essential services. I am enormously proud of our fantastic leadership and workforce who are so deeply committed to the people we support and to each other.

While we think of those services as quite different parts of the IHC Group, we know there is a vital overlap, and both services support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Behind the scenes our whole organisation is working hard to step in behind frontline staff or provide critical core corporate support.

This is not an easy time, but I am reassured by all the planning and preparation that has been undertaken.

We know it is very difficult that you cannot visit your family members and friends who use our services. But we are committed to our services being the safest possible places for the people we support.
