Shooting Hoops
SOLD
Shooting hoops is a lively and dynamic piece captured through a quick sketch on the move. Created with a black felt tip pen on Fabriano paper, the artwork showcases a spontaneous and energetic quality. The sketch captures the essence of someone shooting basketball hoops and depicts the movement of such. Despite the simplicity of the medium and the quick execution, Hamish’s sketch conveys a sense of action and excitement. The black felt tip pen adds boldness and contrast to the composition, giving it a distinctive and expressive quality.

Ululau sees art everywhere. He finds the colours of his paint in the world around him and points them out as he works. Colours in this painting were present in the room he worked in, on the clothes of the people and on the table he sat at. Ululau includes the people around him in his creations.

Tonga is my first love. It’s my home and heart. It is known as the friendly island with Church and God at the centre of everything. I love watching Pacifika rugby. I am a proud Islander. “Holo pe tu’u, ko e naglu e fasi.” This means “stand firm and the waves will break”.

The iceberg hit the ship and the ship goes down and two chimneys fall off and the other two chimneys fall when the Titanic cracked. I’m going to count the survivors 1, 2, 3, 4...14 survived. And the dead 1, 2, 3... 56 dead. I like drawing the stick people.
