I made a self portrait of myself using handmade paper and PVA glue onto a framed canvas. I used Māori designs to represent my whakapapa. I used graffiti to write my name as this is an art form I am passionate about. I chose to do a portrait of myself as I think I’m pretty awesome.

I made a portrait of Mal from the movie Descendants. She can turn into a dragon. I used handmade paper. I cut different blues and purples into fine hair like strands and placed them on with glue for her hair. I used ripped paper to do her skin/face and outfit. My portrait is on a framed canvas. I poked tiny holes in the canvas and added LED lights on the back so the lights can shine through the holes.

Self portrait of me in my Northland Taniwha rugby shirt. I love rugby. I made a bush background with a sun shining on me using recycled handmade paper and flax fibre paper. I used PVA glue and recycled paper, acrylic paint on paper to get the right blue colour for my jersey and felt pens on the details of my face.

I used a TikTok AI filter to do a self portrait. I used lots of bright coloured paper in my hair. I used purple paper for the background and a yellow gold colour around my AI. I added gold lights to my art work to make it illuminate. I chose to do a TikTok filter as I love social media, gaming and live streaming. I have lots of following on my platforms.

I made a self portrait because I’m an artist. I used handmade paper I made at The Papermill. I used black white and grey as my colour scheme. I used a sketch I did in pencil as my inspiration and added a thought bubble in my hand writing to show why I wanted to do a self portrait. I used white lights around me like a make up stand.

A portrait of my favourite singer Justin Bieber. I used handmade recycled paper and ripped star shapes from paper I painted with PVA glue and purple acrylic paint. I used flax paper for his hair and I added disco lights to my picture so it looks like Justin is at a disco.

A portrait of my favourite singer Elvis Presley. I used handmade paper to collage his portrait. I used a black marker pen to write lyrics of my favourite Elvis song ‘Don’t Be Cruel’ on the sides of the framed canvas. I love Elvis.

I made a portrait of Vin Diesel. He’s good looking. I added lots of coloured paper for the background and skin-tone coloured paper for his face. He is wearing a black suit made from black paper. I used PVA glue to stick the paper onto the canvas. I used a needle to make lots of holes in the canvas so that the LED lights in the back of the frame can shine through my artwork.

I created a portrait of Rihanna because listening to her music has gotten me through some really tough times. I used a type of handmade cotton paper for the background and used lots of neutral toned papers to capture her natural beauty. I used LED lights to shine through the transparent cotton paper and a black ink sharpie pen to add detail to her eyes.

A portrait of Valerie Adams. I used handmade paper to make a collage of her portrait. I used blue acrylic paint to get the right colour needed for the NZ flag. I like Valerie as she is strong and wins medals.
