Kia ora koutou katoa!
IHC has launched Let’s give it a go! where people with intellectual disabilities can come together through a series of fun and engaging online video sessions – including music therapy, drumming and sing-a-longs.
From talking to people, lots of whom live with family and some in our services, we found that you want to:
- Spend time with people who are important to you
- Experience something new or different
- Learn new things
- Create and make things
- Be more independent
See our upcoming timetable below. This is all thanks to money and tech tools kindly donated to IHC by our donors, members and IHC Associations
Let’s give it a go! sessions are available to anyone with an intellectual disability in New Zealand.
Wednesday 15 December
6pm to 7pm - Put on your dancing shoes and your favourite Christmas outfit and come join us for an online disco!
We’ll be hosting an hour of your favourite songs to dance to and even have a few prizes to give away.
We’ll be looking for the best dancers, the best dressed female, best dressed male and the best dressed house with Christmas and / or disco decorations.
If you have a song you would like us to play, please email the song name and the band/artist (if you know it) to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll add to the playlist.
