We support adults of all ages with intellectual disabilities to live in their own homes and be part of their local communities. This includes supporting people to flat with others or independently, take part in fun and meaningful activities during the day and provide specialist support based on people’s needs.
We also provide good quality, affordable homes and property management services to people with disabilities, older people, those on low incomes and the organisations that support them.
The IHC library has information on all aspects of intellectual and developmental disability and is free to anyone living in New Zealand. You can visit, ring or email our librarians who can help you find relevant and reliable information. The library has books, magazines, DVDs and electronic resources. We also provide a free book to families.
